1st DAY
In the morning, we will head out from Bucharest to visit the stunning Curtea de Arges Monastery, whichever is the final resting place of many of Romania’s royalties. It’s amazing to see how the architecture of this monastery resembles that of the Taj Mahal. Not only that, we will travel to Cozia Monastery, but also we`ll visit it. The monastery lay since the 14th century by Vlad the Impaler’s grandfather. It’s situated on the banks of the Olt River, which offers a breathtaking landscape. We will then head to Sibiel and stay at a cozy small hotel for the night. Our dinner will be served with organic food at the farmhouse.
Wonderful tour!
I understand that you had a plan for your trip and it can be disappointing when changes need to be made. However, I want to assure you that we have an alternative route that I think you’ll enjoy. During the summer months, the Transfagarasan Highway is open and we can replace Cozia Monastery with it.
This route will take us to some incredible places like the Poenari Citadel, which is the real castle of Dracula built in the 15th century. We can also stop at the Vidraru Dam, which is the biggest dam in Romania and offers some breathtaking views. Next, we’ll visit the brown bears who are waiting for food from tourists. Then enjoy lunch at Balea Lake, which is located 2034 meters high and has some stunning scenery.
Far and wide the tour, we will make sure to provide you with organic dishes made by the locals. As a bonus will even give you a demo on how to cook “sarmale”. Although changes can be difficult, I hope that we can make the most out of your trip and create some unforgettable memories.
2ND DAY
That sounds like an exciting tour! Visiting Corvinilor Castle, similar to Hogwarts Castle, and exploring the Gothic lay architecture from Transylvania must be fascinating. And afterward, going to the city of Alba Iulia, as an illustration,
with its modern baroque fortress of the work of Nicolaus Doxat de Demorat, sounds like a great way to spend the day. Enjoy your tour!
Dracula Tour Transylvania
We left for Sibiu fortress, the former Cultural Capital of Europe in 2007. Built in the 13th century, the city is protected by walls and brick towers, with buildings joined by tunnels. We’ll explore the Big Square, Small Square, Huet Square, and the entire old town.
In the evening, we usually head back to the hotel where dinner is served. Afterward, you are free for the rest of the evening. If you feel like it, you can take a walk through the village and explore the surroundings. It’s a great way to relax and take in the local atmosphere in other words.
3RD DAY
You’re off to a great start! Today’s itinerary includes a visit to Biertan Fortified Church, the biggest Saxon-style church in Transylvania, and a UNESCO World Heritage site. You’ll also get to explore the small market nearby, where you can find traditional handmade souvenirs and honey. Then, it’s on to Sighisoara, a medieval citadel founded by the Transylvanian Saxons and also a UNESCO World Heritage site. There, you’ll see the Clock Tower, Church from the Hill, and the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler Dracula, where you’ll have a traditional “bloody” dinner. Finally, you’ll head to your 3* hotel for some well-deserved relaxation.
Enjoy Transylvania!
In the evening, you have the option to take a tour of Valeni for a unique Rroma Experience. During the tour, you can engage with our host and enjoy a friendly environment while discussing anything you might have in mind about the Rroma communities worldwide. You can also enjoy a delicious dinner during the tour. At the end of the evening, we will return to the hotel. It sounds like a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the culture and traditions of the Rroma community.
4TH DAY – Dracula Tour Transylvania
I understand that this is an exciting day for you! Viscri seems likewise a lovely village to visit, at this instant since King Charles of the UK has a property there. It must be exciting to see a house that was built in 1785 and has been restored. And the fortified church that you’ll be visiting is part of UNESCO Heritage, which is truly impressive. I’m sure it will be fascinating to see such a historic and culturally significant site. Enjoy your visit to Viscri!
The Prejmer Fortified Church is a remarkable place to explore, with its unique architecture and rich history. I imagine you’ll be in awe of the imposing walls that surround it. And walking through the old town of Brasov must be a lovely experience, taking in all the beautiful sights and sounds of this charming city. It’s great because you have some free time to relax and enjoy the city at your own pace. I hope you have a wonderful time and that your dinner at the famous restaurant is delicious and memorable!
Travel with Vlad!
5TH DAY
Wow, I’m excited for our trip today! We’re heading to Bran Castle, likewise known as Dracula Castle, to learn all concerning Count Dracula and the real Vlad the Impaler. I’ve heard that they were very nice people, despite the myths about vampires from Transylvania. Afterward, we drove to the Carpathian Mountains to visit Peles Castle, which was the summer palace of King Carol I of Romania. It was built in the German neo-renaissance style of the 19th century and has a whopping 160 rooms. We’re taking the standard tour today, which includes the reception areas. Peles Castle is the most compelling evidence of fashion and style. Emphatically on walnut wood, at present, the castle is preserved.
It sounds like you have quite the evening planned! Enjoy your dinner at the traditional Romanian restaurant. Hanul Lu Manuc is famous for its authentic cuisine. However, you’ll be heading to a 4-star hotel, which I’m sure will provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Have a great time in Bucharest!
6TH DAY
Today, we’ll visit the National Village Museum where we can see different houses from all 3 kingdoms of Romania, windmills, watermills, etc. Then, we’ll take a panoramic tour of Bucharest with stops at Revolution Square, Romanian Atheneum Hall, Royal Palace, National Art Museum, and Parliament Palace – the 2nd biggest administrative building in the world with 3000 rooms!
Both Transylvania and Wallachia are gorgeous. However, Parliament Palace and Ceausescu Residence are equally important.
Wonderful experience
It seems like you have an exciting trip planned! Another key point is the Parliament Palace, built by Ceausescu in the 80s, is truly remarkable for its ability to withstand powerful earthquakes up to 9 degrees on the Richter scale. I can imagine how impressed you must be with this engineering feat. It must be very exciting to see it in person. For passionate people, we recommend seeing Ceausescu Residence
When your visit is over, you deserve some time to relax and unwind. You can choose to spend the rest of your day as you please, or if you need to head to the airport, we can help arrange a transfer for you. Your comfort and convenience are our top priority. Lastly, we say goodbye until next time. The first thing to remember is the fact that you didn`t lose money, even though you earned memories. From time to time we`ll love to hear about you. Over the tour, we have to ride about 1300 km more or less. Transylvania, without a doubt, is astonnishing.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
The effort for the tour is moderate.
Most parts of the tour will have cobbled stones and many steps.
